The Proof

Both Hygiene + and Defence + have been manufactured here in the UK to the highest medical grade standards, using the powerful and versatile compound, Zinc Pyrithione.

Taking testing to the most extreme environments, both in laboratory and real-world trials, both products have proven highly effective in stopping the growth and transmission of mould, bacteria, and virus.

In our society, where cleanliness and hygiene have become a top priority, the importance of effective biocides cannot be underestimated.  Zinc Pyrithione contains exceptional antimicrobial properties, demonstrating a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, capable of combating a wide range of bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms. Its unique mechanism of action disrupts the vital processes of microbial cells, leading to their destruction or inhibition of growth.

This makes zinc an invaluable tool in preventing the spread of infections and controlling microbial contamination and is fundamentally changing the field of protection against harmful microorganisms.

Anti-Mould

Defence + has been tested to IBRG DSP20-001/2.0 (2022) and demonstrates total resistance to mould growth. NOTE: we supplied our own plasterboard and plaster panels to create life-like trials.

Anti-Bacterial

Defence + has been tested to ISO 22196:2011 and demonstrates a 99.956% log reduction against E.coli and a 99.965% log reduction against MRSA.

Anti-Viral

Defence + has been tested to ISO 21702:2019 and is certified to reduce Coronavirus (of which SARS CoV-2 is the strain identified to cause COVID-19). Defence + reduces Coronavirus quickly, instead of the virus lasting several days on a hard-untreated surface it is reduced by 94% in just 2 hours.
